A talk by Bill Alexander, Dr. Danielle Farrel, Annie Gunner Logan, Shubhanna Hussain-Ahmed, Dr. Donald Macaskill and Pennie Taylor. There had already been much debate about unpaid care and social care being undervalued and underfunded pre-pandemic, and COVID-19 has amplified this situation, with our social care system and its staff, and unpaid carers, now facing huge challenges. This session will discuss and explore COVID-19 and what we have learned, the impact on social and unpaid care, and what needs to change and adapt in the future.
